Youcan is a technology-driven waste management platform operating in Ethiopia, designed to connect waste generators with waste collectors through a digital marketplace. The client approached ThinkJS with the objective of building a technology platform that could digitize waste collection, incentivize recycling, and enable transparent waste tracking across cities.
ThinkJS partnered with the client through an Offshore Development Center (ODC) model, taking ownership of the complete product development lifecycle including mobile applications, platform architecture, and the website. The final solution included two mobile applications, a supporting web platform, and backend infrastructure enabling a scalable digital ecosystem for waste collection and recycling.
